About

Quiet Time Poems is a daily journal of poems that are inspired by a daily reading of Old and New Testament passages, waiting on the voice of God to counsel, encourage, reprove, correct, and rejoice the heart.

I retired from the U.S. Navy in 1997.  More importantly, I trusted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior in 1973 and will tell anyone about Him who will listen to the evidence that He is the Savior of the world! I have been employed as an English teacher, but am now retired and serving the Lord full time. I am especially eager to present the evidence that PROVES the Bible to be true, by examining the accuracy of fulfilled prophecy (God has NEVER been wrong), the historical reality of the resurrection of Christ, the intelligent design evident in nature by which God has clearly illustrated His attributes, and an objective examination of the scientific validity of the Bible, whenever it speaks to issues of science (e.g., the Bible’s claim that the stars were innumerable (Jeremiah 33:22) while astronomers in 150 A.D. said there were at most 3,000).  A lot is riding on this, friends.  God’s promises of salvation are as valid as His promises of judgment.  And you must decide which one you want to experience for all of your eternity… a long time to regret the wrong choice.  Come to Christ today, while you may.  -Matthew 11:28.

Hey, my fellow David Edwin, bless you for sharing the pure, unvarnished truth – without fear of nor favour towards any! You’re right on…in every which way…and having just lately re-read Frank Morison’s historic, classic, inimitable ‘Who Moved the Stone?’…the evidence for the (esp. pivotal resurrection)truths of Christianity are so stunning, how could one not sing and shout about them to anyone and everyone willing and prepared to listen…?

Bless you, Bro’ (as we say down here in kiwi-land (that’s Aotearoa-New Zealand to be precise), indeed a nation once known as “God’s Own”) (though sadly – like your own(i.e. the US of A): the land of my parents, grandparents, greatgrandparents etcetera)…no longer befitting such a blessed title, regretfully.

Your brother in Christ Jesus (and in ‘the faith once delivered to the saints’, about which the great apostle Saul/Paul exhorted us to contend earnestly).

Incidentally, I’m also a blogposter, though not of anything even remotely as spiritually uplifting as your own website (no doubt, though have yet to access that admittedly!)
If you’re ever interested, let me know (I ‘operate’ 2 blogsites) by emailing me at edunedain@hotmail.com. Cheers!

Thank you for chiming in, David. I am not sure why they are asking for my approval on comments. The fact is, I received so little activity on Word Press, that I simply post now on my blog site at blog spot which you can reach at http://quiettimepoems.blogspot.com/. I also have the youtube activity where you can view my presentations on the Biblical astronomy such as Mazzaroth at https://youtu.be/yBzuc2Lt8Lc and other topics on the David Edwin Hall youtube site. If you can access facebook, just send a friend request and it should be easy for me to recognize your name! I also post my poems there. Thank you again for your words of encouragement.
